Scan and label old photos

Before anyone forgets who's in them.

5 min read

Photos are often the family's most treasured items, and the easiest to lose.

How

  1. Scan at 600 dpi or higher for small prints
  2. Save as TIFF or high-quality JPEG
  3. Name files with names, place and year
  4. Write who, where and when in a photo log
  5. Keep copies in two places, one outside the home
